Bridges

If you’re not happy with a missing tooth or a gap in your mouth, a bridge may be the right choice to fill the gap, helping you feel more confident with your smile. Besides cosmetic purposes, other reasons for a bridge may include restoring chewing function or speech.

A bridge is a fixed (non-removable) replacement for a missing tooth or gaps. Bridges are designed to blend in with your teeth.

A bridge requires at least two appointments.

At your first appointment, you will have impressions (moulds) taken of the surrounding teeth. The anchor teeth are prepared by removing a portion of the enamel, and a temporary bridge is fitted.

At your second appointment, you’ll receive your new, permanent bridge. The bridge will be carefully fitted at your second appointment, adjusted and permanently cemented.

Contact us today, and we can set up an appointment to discuss your options.

COVID-19 UPDATE

As you are aware the Chief Dental Officer announced on 28 May, that dental practices across England will be allowed to begin the process of reopening for all emergency and routine face-to-face dental care from Monday 8 June.

We have been clear in all our communication throughout the pandemic, that our first priority is the wellbeing of our patients and colleagues, and this continues to be the case. As a result, Worthing Road Dental Practice will only be reopening once we are satisfied that we have all of the necessary processes and personal protective equipment (PPE) in place to ensure everyone’s safety.

Rest assured, we will be working through the information as quickly as possible as and when it becomes available.  We will be communicating directly with you soon and via our website with more information about when the practice will re-open. In the meantime, please do not attempt to make a new appointment. If you experiencing a dental emergency such as severe pain or need advice you should continue to contact the surgery who will be able to help on 01403 252646 or email us at appointments@worthingroaddentalpractice.com.
